Has anyone else noticed the lack of security camera footage or witness statements regarding Dion Joseph Richard Sr.'s murder? It’s alarming that nothing has surfaced to provide any solid leads or suspects. The area around North Robertson Street in the 7th Ward is usually busy, especially near a church. You'd think someone might have seen or heard something that night. It’s frustrating to think that valuable information might still be out there but hasn’t reached the right people yet. I just hope someone finds the courage to come forward and help give Dion’s family some answers and a bit of peace. Sometimes even the smallest detail can break a case wide open. Let’s keep discussing and sharing anything we can to keep this case alive in hopes of finding justice for Dion.
I can't stop thinking about how Dion Joseph Richard Sr. was found right in front of a church. It feels especially jarring for such violence to occur in a place that's supposed to be a sanctuary. I've walked down North Robertson Street myself, and it's haunting to imagine something so terrible happening there.
What really gets to me is the thought of Dion's family coping with this. It's been years, and with no news of suspects or arrests, the limbo must be unbearable. How does a family find peace when justice seems so out of reach? I hope someone in the community steps forward with information that could help give Dion's loved ones some closure.
Does anyone know if there have been any community vigils or any ongoing efforts to keep Dion’s case alive and in the public eye?
Hi everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the case of Dion Joseph Richard Sr., the man who was tragically found in front of a church in New Orleans back in 2013. It's been nearly a decade, and there still seems to be no progress in finding his killer. One thing that really sticks with me is the location of this crime. Being found in front of a church seems so symbolic and adds another layer of tragedy to this whole situation.
I can't help but wonder if someone in the neighborhood might have seen or heard something that night. New Orleans’ 7th Ward has such a strong community vibe, and it’s hard to believe no one has come forward with information. Was the area too quiet that evening, or did people simply turn a blind eye because they were afraid?
For those living nearby, I hope you can talk to each other about that night. Someone might hold a piece of information without even realizing its significance. My heart goes out to Dion's family and friends, who have been waiting for answers for far too long. This must be an incredibly difficult time for them, and I hope they receive the justice they deserve. Keep talking, stay informed, and hopefully, we can help bring some closure to this case.
Stay safe, everyone.
