Did anyone else find the details around the accidental shooting of Raymond Dewayne Weston especially unsettling? I've been following the case and can't help but think about the sheer tragedy of losing someone so young to such a preventable accident. Kendall Smith being charged with negligent homicide underscores just how serious the handling of firearms should be taken. I really admire Chief Loren Lampert's commitment to raising awareness about firearm safety following this incident. It's devastating to think of the pain both families must be going through right now, knowing that a momentary lapse in judgment led to such life-altering consequences. This case really makes me hope that more people will take the lessons of firearm safety to heart. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected. ?
