Does anyone have more info about the mobile command center that was set up by Monroe PD after the shooting? I'm curious about how effective these initiatives are in combating crime in areas like South Third Street. I know the police were urging the community to help out with any info, but I can't help but wonder if folks in similar neighborhoods feel safe enough to come forward. It's such a tough situation when fear of retaliation might stop someone from speaking up. My heart goes out to Curtis Ford's loved ones, who must be going through an unimaginably difficult time. I just hope his family eventually sees justice and finds some peace.
I still can't wrap my head around the tragedy that unfolded with Curtis Ford. Reading about how things went from a calm conversation to that horrifying outcome makes my heart ache for his family. I just wonder what could have been done differently to de-escalate the situation.
It's deeply unsettling to see this pattern of violence on South Third Street. It's a place where people live, work, and try to make a life amidst the chaos. Residents must feel so trapped in a cycle they can't control. The presence of a mobile command center is a small comfort, but I hope it's enough to encourage people to share what they know—because silence only helps the wrong side.
Curtis deserved so much better, and his family deserves some peace knowing the one who did this is held accountable. If anyone reading this has insight or even a whisper of information that could tip the scales, please reach out to the authorities. Let's not let fear overshadow justice.
