I've been following Shade Sanguis' case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the mental health aspect. It's so sad to think about the immense pain he must have been going through for so long. Knowing he struggled with severe depression for two decades just breaks my heart. Mental health issues are often invisible, and it's so important for us to be more open about them and provide better support systems. It makes me wonder, how can we as a community do more to help people who might be silently suffering like Shade was? It's crucial we learn from this tragedy to ensure others don't feel as lost and alone. Sending love to Shade's family during this unimaginably difficult time.
It's deeply troubling how Shade Sanguis' case unfolded. One aspect that caught my attention is the apparent disconnect between the NOPD and the coroner's office at the time. It's unsettling to think that such a gap could contribute to delaying the identification of a person who was loved by so many. While the agencies have reportedly improved their communication after this incident, it makes one wonder how many other cases might have faced similar issues before this wake-up call. For the sake of justice and closure for families, let’s hope these improvements are making a difference. I'm sending my thoughts to Shade's loved ones; it's unimaginable what they've been through.
