I've been following Cody's case closely, and one thing that stands out to me is how many shell casings were found at the scene—79 from four different weapons. It's terrifying to think about the chaos and violence that erupted in what seems to have been such a short span of time. The sheer number of shots fired really speaks to the recklessness of the shooters. I can't imagine what it must have been like for Cody and the others caught in that nightmare. My thoughts go out to Cody’s family and friends, who not only lost someone dear to them but must also come to terms with the devastating circumstances surrounding his death. Hopefully, justice will be served and this tragedy will prompt some discussion on reducing gun violence in our communities. Stay strong, everyone.
