Hey everyone, I've been following Ferniqua "Muffin" Johnson's case and can't stop thinking about how these tragic events affect the entire community. I recently read about Raekeda Wright's involvement as the getaway driver. It's unsettling to think that someone so young was caught up in something so serious. After cooperating with the investigation, Wright's sentence was reduced, which seems to be a tough pill to swallow considering the pain caused to Ferniqua's family. But, I also wonder about Wright's background and what circumstances led her to that point. She was just 21. While justice for Ferniqua is crucial, it's also important to think about preventative measures and systemic changes that could stop young people from getting involved in such crimes in the first place. Has anyone here more familiar with the area seen any community programs aimed at this? Sending light to Ferniqua's loved ones and hoping for healing and progress in communities facing such violence.
