I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of social media in Jywuan Butler’s case. It's just so gut-wrenching to see how something as simple as posting a photo can lead to such devastating consequences. I've noticed that people, myself included, often share snippets of our lives online without really considering who might be watching. It makes me wonder if there are better ways to educate young people about online safety to hopefully prevent such tragedies. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and regret Jywuan’s family must be feeling over something that initially seemed so harmless. This case is a stark reminder that we all need to be more cautious online. Stay safe, everyone.
