I didn't know her personally, but I've heard countless stories from people who did, and they all paint a picture of someone you’d be lucky to have in your life. Her ability to make others smile with just a laugh or a kind word is something that seems so rare these days. It's clear she deeply touched everyone around her. What strikes me about this whole situation is the overwhelming need for better mental health resources. After hearing about Denise's brother, David, I'm left wondering if things could have turned out differently if there had been more support or intervention available. It breaks my heart that this family has been shattered, and it’s a reminder that we as a society need to do more. Domestic violence, mental health—these are issues that can't be ignored any longer.
