Chasmine Walters' story really struck a chord with me, especially when I think about her friends and family who are dealing with such an immeasurable loss. I've been reading up a lot about the trial details, and the more I find out, the more my heart goes out to those who were close to her. One part that stood out was how the firearm used was a pivotal piece of evidence in the courtroom. It was hidden by Winslow but ended up being key to the jury's decision. It makes you wonder what could have been prevented if security protocols had been properly followed in venues like the Royalty Lounge. I can't even begin to imagine the pain Chasmine's loved ones are going through. While justice in the form of a guilty verdict has been served, it doesn't bring her back or erase the grief. It's just one more reminder of how important it is to create safer environments and to address violence proactively. I'm hoping that some change can come from this senseless tragedy, and that Chasmine’s family might find even a small measure of peace. ?️
