I’ve been following the case of Gyron Lebeuf, and I can’t stop thinking about the community response. I've been reflecting on Gyron Lebeuf's story and how he was just a kid trying to do something kind on a special day for his family when this senseless act of violence occurred. It's deeply saddening to think that what should have been a joyful celebration turned into a day of mourning. His family must still be grappling with such a sudden and tragic loss.
What really catches my attention is the ages of the suspects involved - both so young! It makes me think about how the cycle of violence can drag kids into situations that spiral out of control before they even realize what's happening. We often talk about the justice system and consequences, but I wonder what we can do more proactively within our communities to prevent tragedies like this from happening in the first place.
