I recently learned about the Robin Benedict case from the early '80s, and something that struck me is how it seemed to fly under the radar until William Douglas's involvement was revealed. It's chilling to think about how Douglas maintained his facade as a respected professor and family man while leading a double life that ultimately led to murder. I can’t stop thinking about what Robin's friends and family must have gone through, not just with her tragic death but also knowing that justice was limited. I mean, Douglas only served nine years! It’s unsettling to think he went back to living his life relatively free while her loved ones never found her body. I'd love to know what others think about the sentencing; does it seem right to you? Cases like this remind me of how messy and imperfect the justice system can be.
