I’ve been thinking a lot about the vigil Ja'Kyrie's family held after his tragic death. The fact that the community came together like that speaks volumes about the impact he had on those around him. Releasing balloons in his memory was such a poignant way to honor his life and symbolize their hopes for justice. It’s clear that Ja'Kyrie was deeply loved and valued, not just by his family but by everyone who knew him. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his parents must be feeling. Community support is a powerful thing, and I hope it brings them some comfort as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time. If anyone was there that night and has any information, please consider helping the Lafayette Police Department. Let’s rally together to help bring some closure to his family.
