I wanted to bring up something that’s been on my mind since I heard about Lance T. Gilmore’s case. What keeps gnawing at me is how the car was left in such an isolated spot. It seems like whoever did this wanted to buy themselves some time before anyone found out. The location near the Amite River bridge off LA 10 isn’t a place you’d randomly abandon a vehicle unless you knew the area well, right? There’s a chance the suspects might have local ties. The choice of a ditch near a bridge seems too specific, almost like they had a purpose or familiarity with the surroundings. I hope the investigators look into any previous connections these individuals might have with the area. Sending strength to Lance's family and friends as they navigate through this difficult time.

Lance's death has really shaken the community here in East Feliciana Parish. I keep thinking about the fact that he was just 22 years old and how much he had ahead of him. One thing that stands out to me is the location where he was found—abandoned in a ditch near the Amite River bridge. It makes you wonder, why there? Was it random, or was there some significance to that spot? I drive past LA 10 quite often, and it's a road with a lot of traffic, yet parts of it are isolated enough that something could go unnoticed. I hope the investigators have combed through every bit of evidence they can from that area. My heart goes out to Lance's family and everyone who loved him. It's unimaginable what they must be going through. I just hope that with the arrests made, we see justice served in this case. It would be a tragedy for such a heinous act to go unpunished. Keeping an eye on any updates and hoping for some answers soon.
