Has anyone else been following the case of Shayne Joseph Burke? I feel so deeply for his family, especially his mom, after everything that went down on Peach Street. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child right in front of your home, a place that's supposed to be safe. It's terrifying how quickly lives can be uprooted by such violence.
I've been trying to wrap my head around how the legal system is handling this. Abram Landry was arrested, but the case is just... on pause? It's frustrating that the grand jury basically asked for more evidence and couldn't move forward. From what I've read, Landry's past is pretty sketchy, with all the charges he's faced before. So, how is it that there's not enough to bring justice for Shayne? Are the police and the DA digging deeper into this, or has the case just stalled out completely?
The community is still reeling from Shayne's loss. We need stronger action against the kind of violence that took this young man's life. If anyone knows of ways we can support Shayne's family, like through local vigils or gatherings to push for more investigation, please share. Let's keep talking about Shayne and his story. He deserves that.
Has anyone looked into the security camera footage from around Peach Street on the day Shayne Burke was shot? It's been mentioned that neighbors called 911, so there must have been some activity caught on tape, right? Given how close this happened to his mom's house, surely someone must have had a doorbell camera or external cameras that could provide more insight into what happened that day. It's also worth considering if there are any traffic cameras in the vicinity that might have caught something. My heart goes out to Shayne's family; I can't imagine how difficult it must be as they wait for answers. Every piece of evidence matters here, and it's possible that someone in the community might have footage they don't even realize is crucial. If anyone in the area hasn’t yet reviewed their camera footage from that time, it might be worth taking a look. Even the smallest thing could potentially lead to the case being reopened and moving forward. Let's keep the conversation going and see if there’s any way we can help bring justice for Shayne.
