Hey everyone, I can’t stop thinking about Timothy Finch’s case, especially since it happened right in the middle of a huge holiday weekend when the streets were packed with people. One thing that stands out to me is the sheer audacity of such a brutal attack happening in broad daylight, with so many bystanders around. It raises a lot of questions about how we as a society react (or don’t react) to violence, especially when it involves vulnerable people like Timothy, who was reportedly homeless. I’ve been reading some witness accounts and it seems like the attackers weren’t shy about what they were doing. Imagine being surrounded by so many potential witnesses and still feeling emboldened enough to commit such a heinous act. It’s mind-boggling and really makes you think about the bystander effect in situations like this. How many people saw something but felt powerless or scared to intervene? And then there’s the way this case barely made a blip in the media. Why do some stories fall through the cracks while others don’t? It's like Timothy was forgotten just as quickly as he was brutalized, and that's just not right. If anyone here was in Boston that day or knows more about the case, maybe we can help push for answers. Timothy deserves justice, and his story deserves to be told. My thoughts are with his family and friends, and anyone who knew him. No one should be left to face violence and it's crucial we bring attention to these cases, even years later. Stay safe out there and keep talking about these issues. Every voice counts. - A concerned forum member

It's been a long time since Timothy Finch's tragic death, and I still can't get over how this kind of violence happened in such a busy, public place like near Faneuil Hall. The fact that a group of people could attack someone like that in broad daylight, with so many witnesses around, is terrifying. I just keep thinking about all of those people who were out celebrating and how easily someone could have stepped in or called for help sooner. It's crucial for us, as a community, to be more vigilant and make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. Also, does anyone know if there have been any updates or renewed efforts to solve this case? I often wonder if this could have been avoided if Finch's situation had been addressed earlier. We need to remember those who are vulnerable and keep pressuring the authorities to find justice for Timothy. My heart goes out to him and those who knew him.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the witnesses who were present when Timothy Finch was attacked on that busy July 4th. It's so incredibly difficult for me to fathom how an incident with so many potential witnesses could go unsolved. Were people too caught up in the celebrations to notice? Were they afraid to step forward with what they saw? I can’t imagine how complicated that must be, to know something and feel torn about coming forward. There's a possibility some witnesses were tourists, there for the festivities, and maybe they didn’t realize how vital their observations were. It's saddening to think that people might be hesitant to help because they believe their piece of the puzzle is insignificant or fear repercussions. I truly hope anyone who was there that day can find the courage to report any detail, no matter how small. Finch’s family, even after all these years, deserves answers and closure. This case reminds me of how important community involvement can be in addressing violent crimes and supporting justice for those who’ve been overlooked.
