I’ve been following Devonte Long’s case closely and, like many of you, I can’t stop thinking about his family and the deep loss they’re going through. Something that really struck me about this case is how quickly the situation escalated after just a verbal altercation. It’s beyond frustrating to see these situations end in such senseless violence. I wonder, did the altercation start over something trivial, or was there a history between Devonte and Gevartise that we’re missing? It seems so tragic that a life could be taken in the blink of an eye like that. I hope more witnesses or anyone with information come forward to help piece together what exactly went down that night. Sending strength and love to Devonte’s loved ones.
