In the quiet early morning hours of August 28, 2023, on a stretch of Highway 41 South in Dallas County, Alabama, a scene initially reported as a traffic accident would soon reveal a more grim reality. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office arrived at approximately 1:30 a.m. to find a vehicle that had seemingly been involved in a single-car incident. Inside, however, they discovered the body of 61-year-old Gregory Daily, who had sustained a single gunshot wound.
