On August 28, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Dallas County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported accident on Highway 41 South. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 61-year-old Gregory Daily deceased inside a vehicle, having suffered a single gunshot wound. A firearm was also found within the vehicle, and evidence indicated it had been discharged.
