Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Fazon C. Jenkins, and I’m really struck by the lack of progress in the investigation. It’s been over a year now, and it’s just so hard to understand how such a tragic event can still be unsolved. I was especially moved by how his friends and family gathered to remember him at Bright Star Baptist Church. It’s clear he was deeply loved, and I can only imagine the pain they must be enduring knowing that justice hasn’t been served.
What puzzles me about this case is how there seems to be so little known about the argument that led to the shooting. With multiple people involved, you’d think there’d be more information—or witnesses willing to come forward. It’s such a busy world, but we have to hope that somebody out there remembers something, no matter how small.
If there's anyone on here who’s local to Shreveport and has heard anything (even through the grapevine), I urge you to share it with the authorities. It’s the little pieces of information that can often lead to major breakthroughs. Fazon and his loved ones deserve answers and justice. Let's not let this case fade into obscurity.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
ETA: Does anyone know if there's been any new community efforts or memorials planned to keep his memory alive?
I've been thinking a lot about the impact that communities can have following such devastating events. Fazon, or "Tonka" as his friends knew him, had a warmth and presence that clearly touched everyone around him, as seen by the outpouring of grief and support at his Celebration of Life service. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family and friends are experiencing right now.
In situations like these, it feels more important than ever for the community to come together and support each other. Whether it's sharing information with the authorities or simply offering a shoulder to lean on, every bit of support can make a difference. The fact that no suspects have been identified yet is incredibly frustrating, and it must be so difficult for those who loved him to not have answers. I'm holding onto hope that someone, somewhere, knows something that could help bring justice for Fazon and his family. If you’re reading this and have information, no matter how small it might seem, please come forward. It might be the missing piece investigators need. Let’s all do our part to help.
Sending strength and love to everyone who knew and loved Fazon. ?️
I've been reading about Fazon "Tonka" Jenkins' case, and it's so frustrating that no one has been held accountable yet. I keep thinking about the surveillance cameras in that area around Marshall Street. With all the businesses and traffic near there, there must be some footage that captured something useful, right?
I know the Shreveport Police Department is doing what they can, but it feels like there has to be some piece of evidence out there waiting to be uncovered. Maybe someone who drove through that area around the time of the incident saw something and doesn't realize it could be important. If you know anyone in Shreveport who might have been around there that morning, make sure to ask them!
It's devastating to think about what Tonka's family is going through, especially with the lack of closure. I hope people keep spreading the word to help bring some answers and justice for his loved ones. If anyone has had success in similar cases with getting info from the public, I'd love to hear your suggestions. Every little bit helps.
