On August 22, 2012, 25-year-old Rafeal Thompson was shot and killed in Jacksonville, Florida. Despite ongoing investigations, his murder remains unsolved. Thompson's death is part of a larger issue with unresolved homicides in Jacksonville, and local law enforcement continues to seek leads.
