Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the incredible spirit of Lonnie Phillips, who many knew as DJ Flyboi Lonnie. One thing that's really been sticking with me is how he managed to uplift his community through his work. Besides his talent as a DJ, those who visited Fade City Barbershop always spoke highly of its welcoming atmosphere, which Lonnie cultivated. It seems like he was more than just a business owner; he was a friend and mentor to many who visited his shop.
Community members have shared stories of Lonnie giving free haircuts to kids going back to school or talking to young folks about staying on the right path. You could see his commitment to uplifting those around him, and it’s these small acts of kindness and leadership that I believe will leave a lasting impact.
While it pains us all deeply that his life was taken so violently, I hope that as the investigation presses on, authorities will find answers. If anyone has any memories or stories of how Lonnie touched your life, maybe sharing them can remind us of the good he brought into the world. My thoughts are with his family and those who knew him. Keep spreading love and positivity in his honor. ?
Take care,

I've been following the case of Lonnie Jeorge "LoSo" Phillips, and I can't help but feel connected to the community mourning his loss. What stands out to me is how he used his platform as a DJ to uplift others and then transitioned to a barbershop owner, where he continued to spread positivity. It's clear he touched so many lives in New Orleans, not just through his business but through his genuine spirit.
I can't imagine the profound impact this has had on his children, Milan, Malaya, and Lonnie Jr. It breaks my heart to think of their loss. It seems like the community really came together to support them, but it’s so crucial that we see justice for Lonnie.
If anyone knows anything at all, please come forward. It’s time for those who loved Lonnie to get the closure they deserve. Sending love and strength to his family and loved ones.
