I’ve been thinking a lot about Lamar Ford’s case lately, and it’s just so devastating. One thing that really stood out to me was how he had turned his life around after being in prison. It takes so much strength and determination to make such a significant change, and it’s clear he wanted to make a positive impact, especially by working with his mom's outreach programs. It's incredibly sad that his efforts were cut short so violently. Lamar's mother, Pastor Christiana Ford, must be going through unimaginable pain. Not only did she lose her son in such a senseless way, but she's also been working so hard to combat gun violence through her foundation. It must feel like an uphill battle at times, and my heart really goes out to her and the rest of the family. I can't even begin to imagine the impact on Lamar’s 9-year-old son, losing a father figure at such a young age. It makes me wonder what more the community and local leaders can do to address this crisis and prevent further tragedies. The continuing lack of progress in these investigations is disheartening too. Hoping they find justice for Lamar soon.
