I remember hours spent with Lite-Brite—those little colorful pegs making pictures I was so proud of and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots with my siblings, trying so hard not to break the pieces in our enthusiasm. It strikes me as profoundly sad that a man who brought so much happiness to others met such a tragic end. It’s a harsh reminder that mental health issues can have a ripple effect, impacting not just those directly suffering but also the people around them. I hope this case serves not just as a reminder to appreciate the joy creators like Callan bring into our world, but also the importance of looking out for mental health warning signs among our friends and coworkers.
