I was thinking about the impact that the tragedy at the Empire Jewelry Store must have had on Linda Manzano. It's unimaginable to lose not only your brother, Danilo Rodica, but also your boyfriend, Thomas Pavlopoulos, in such a horrific way. Linda's resilience and strength in the face of such brutal violence must have been extraordinary, especially knowing she herself was a target.
Walter Stewart's actions were beyond heinous, and while he was apprehended and ultimately faced justice, it's hard not to think about the ripple effects of his crime. Linda has had to carry the burden of losing two loved ones in a single day.
It's a bittersweet relief knowing someone like Stewart is no longer a threat, as his appeals were denied and justice was seen through to the end. Does anyone know how Linda Manzano is doing these days? I can't even imagine what she went through, losing her boyfriend and brother in one terrible incident. Having to survive an attempted murder, and then seeing the man responsible face justice, must have been an emotional rollercoaster. I hope she’s found some peace and support over the years. If anyone has updates or knows of any foundations or causes she might have started or supported in their memories, I’d love to know more.
