I came across this case while reading about law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. It's truly gut-wrenching to think about how a routine day at work turned into such a devastating tragedy for Marshal Frakes and his family. I've been reading some reports, and it seems like the security procedures back then weren't as tight as they should have been. It's frustrating to think that maybe, with just a few more precautions, this might have had a different outcome. Does anyone know if there were any technological advancements or specific security measures that were implemented after this incident at other courthouses around the country? I hope steps were taken not just in Chicago but everywhere to prevent another senseless loss like this. It's the least we can do to honor the memory of those who put their lives on the line every day. My thoughts are with the families of Frakes and Belluomini; their courage will not be forgotten.
