World is heartless right now. I came across an article discussing the details of Sterling Sims and Chevonne Brown’s case again today, and I can’t shake off the anger and sadness. I mean, what really stood out was the malfunctioning gun. In an awful twist of fate, Sterling’s 11-year-old brother was literally spared by a stroke of luck because Antonio Lewis's gun didn't work as intended. It's haunting to think that luck played a role in something so crucial. This entire tragedy is just beyond comprehension. My heart goes out to that brave little boy who was left unscathed physically but must carry this trauma forever. I hope he has an amazing support system around him helping him through this nightmare. It’s hard to imagine what he's feeling, having witnessed such an atrocity. I genuinely hope he finds peace and healing as best as he can with time. Peace and love to Chevonne and Sterling. They didn’t deserve this. No one does.
