I've been following Adrian Villarreal's case from the beginning, and something that really sticks out to me is Leyva's use of a disposable phone to contact him. This detail is so premeditated, and it sends chills down my spine thinking about how calculated it all seems. I can’t even begin to imagine what Adrian’s family is going through, especially knowing that someone went to such lengths to plan this awful act. It's truly startling to think about how small decisions, like buying a disposable phone, contributed to such a devastating event. This could easily seem like a decision made in desperation, but in the context of everything else presented during the trial, it paints a different picture. The whole situation just feels so deeply unsettling. I'm hoping that lessons can be learned from this tragedy about the importance of finding peaceful resolutions and that we, as a community, can support Adrian’s family through these tough times. The pain of such a loss is unimaginable, and my thoughts are with all those affected.
