I've been following Raason Shaw's case, and I can't help but feel for his mother, Sharon, and the entire family as they navigate this tragedy. It's been nearly a decade, and I can't imagine how difficult it must be for them, especially with Raason having been so close to becoming a father. The thought of a child growing up without ever knowing their dad is really tough to contemplate. I wonder how people feel about the investigation process by COPA. Transparency is so crucial in these situations to just have some clarity, even if it doesn’t change the outcome. It seems like the discussions around the case have really highlighted the broader issues with police and community relations. I'm curious if anyone here thinks there have been significant changes in policies within Chicago since then. Are there any active efforts to address these issues? Would love to hear people’s thoughts on how or if things have changed over the years.
