Hi everyone, I’ve been following Dashawn Johnson’s case and I wanted to bring up something that’s been on my mind. It’s so important to think about the impact this has had on his family and the Brainerd neighborhood. Dashawn wasn’t just another statistic, he was someone’s son, friend, and neighbor. The fact that he was able to get to a nearby home after being shot shows real courage and a strong will to survive. It's incredibly sad to think about the fear and pain he must have felt in those final moments. Does anyone know if there have been any community initiatives or rallies in Dashawn's memory? It just feels like coming together as a community might help in bringing some comfort to his family and highlight the need for change. It’s so frustrating to see cases like his slipping through the cracks due to the lack of witnesses coming forward or the complexity of solving these incidents.
