Has anyone else been following the case of Sharrice Perkins and her friends? It's been over a decade since that tragic night on Harlem Street, and I can't shake the enormity of this loss. I was thinking about the kind of person Sharrice was—a promising engineering student who was also working as a hotel clerk. It's so unsettling to think about how her dreams and ambitions were just snatched away in an instant. I've read that the authorities have considered gang-related motives, but it boggles my mind that these young women ended up in the crossfire like this. The fact that the case remains unsolved is incredibly frustrating. I can't even begin to imagine the heartache her family and friends must feel, not to mention those of Kristen and Genevieve. I hope that ongoing community vigils and police appeals for information might stir someone's conscience. If anyone out there knows something, however small it may seem, please consider reaching out to the authorities. These families deserve closure, and maybe it's time we all spread the word a bit more to help find answers.

I've been thinking a lot about Sharrice Perkins and the tragic events that happened back in 2012. It's hard to wrap my head around how something so awful could happen to someone just going about their life. I didn't know her personally, but from what I've read, she seemed like an incredible person—studying engineering, working hard at a hotel, always there for her friends. It breaks my heart that her life was cut short in such a senseless way. What really strikes me is the courage of the fourth woman who survived. I can't imagine the trauma she must carry with her every day, having experienced such a horrifying ordeal. I hope she's found some peace and has a strong support system around her. I also can’t help but wonder how frustrating it must be for the families involved, knowing that the case remains unsolved after all these years. If anyone has any information, even the smallest detail that might have been overlooked, I hope they find the strength to come forward. These families deserve closure, and the community deserves safer streets. Let’s keep them in our thoughts and do what we can to spread the word.
