It’s truly tragic and baffling to think about how this happened so close to the Police HQ. I’ve often wondered whether the location played any role in the investigation or the response time. It seems like the area should've been relatively safe, yet Walter Neely's life was so senselessly lost there. I can’t imagine the pain his family and friends must be going through, knowing this took place nearly in the shadow of a facility meant to uphold safety and justice. It really brings up questions about what preventive measures can be taken to ensure such violence doesn’t repeat itself in areas we presume are secure. Hoping for justice for Walter and closure for those who loved him.
