I've been following Deandre Montez Atkinson's case for a while and something that sticks with me is the struggle his family must endure knowing justice has still not been served. It's incredibly frustrating that, after all these years, no one has been held accountable for his tragic death. I can't imagine how hard it must be for Deandre's loved ones to wake up every day knowing the case is still unsolved.
It just seems so unjust that a young boy who was looking forward to graduation and chasing his dreams can have his life taken so suddenly, without any resolution yet. I hope with all my heart that someone with information will feel compelled to come forward and help his family find some peace. The Springfield community needs closure too—it’s a reminder of how much work needs to be done to keep our neighborhoods safe from this kind of senseless violence. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

I hope those who were with him that day find the courage to come forward with the truth, despite their own issues, so the family can finally see some justice. It's alarming to think that a reward has been offered, yet still no leads. If anyone knows anything, no matter how small, please, for Deandre's sake, speak up. His family deserves closure and peace.
