Has anyone else been thinking about the impact on communities when tragedies like this happen? It’s absolutely gut-wrenching to see how another precious life has been lost in Chicago and particularly in the Roseland neighborhood. I've been reading about Shamari Salter’s case, and my heart goes out to his mom, Stephanie Franklin. Losing a second son to gun violence in less than a year is unimaginable pain for any family. What really struck me is how these acts of violence ripple through entire communities, leaving everyone in a sort of shared grief and frustration. The fact that no arrests have been made just seems to add to the anguish, almost like justice is slipping away. It makes you think about how crucial community support and cohesion are during these dark times. I pray that someone steps forward with information, not just for the sake of justice, but to help start the healing process for Shamari’s family and for the Roseland community. It’s situations like these that remind us all about the importance of not staying silent and doing whatever we can to help, even beyond this particular case. Anyone else feeling similarly or have thoughts on how a community can come together to prevent further tragedies?
