On September 13, 2016, Michael Johnson, aged 27, was fatally shot in Long Beach, California, during an incident that remains under investigation. Authorities were dispatched to the area of Locust Avenue and East 12th Street in the early morning hours, where they discovered Johnson with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
