Has anyone looked into potential sightings of John Bruce Philips at nearby bus stations or travel hubs? It seems like, given his experience and resilience, he might have traveled further than initially expected. I know there were searches in the Croatan National Forest, but has there been any focus on areas where someone might try to leave the region? It’s just baffling how someone can vanish so suddenly. I hope the family finds some closure soon.
Hey everyone, I recently stumbled on some older cases and came across John Bruce Philips' disappearance from Cape Carteret, NC in 2015. While reading about it, I found something interesting that might be worth discussing. John's last known clothing included gray athletic shoes with orange soles. Has there been any discussion on how unique or identifiable those shoes might be? I feel like the bright orange soles could stand out, especially if anyone remembers seeing someone matching his description.
