On December 7, 2022, 46-year-old Valeska Keely Ward, a woman from Lincolnton, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed at her home on North Flint Street. The incident occurred around 11 p.m., and Ward was taken to a hospital where she later died. The suspect in the case, Muhammed Ali Camp, was a friend of Ward's and was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Camp has been charged with second-degree murder, and the investigation is ongoing.
