I've been following the case of Donta Parker and Sakinah Reed since it first happened, and my heart goes out to their families and friends. I can't stop thinking about how young everyone involved is. It’s truly unsettling when you look at the ages of both the victims and the suspects. What really struck me was learning that the shooting stemmed from a gang-related feud. It makes me wonder what can be done to steer young lives away from such dangerous paths. The community response seems to emphasize this as well, with so many people rallying to call for change. It is clear that something proactive needs to happen to make neighborhoods safer and give these kids the hope and support they desperately need.
