I’ve been thinking a lot about the lack of witnesses in Anthony T. Moton's case, and it just makes me wonder what could have been missed. It’s really upsetting to think that this happened with seemingly no one around to see or hear anything that could help solve it. Is it possible that someone might have been afraid to come forward? It’s understandable, given the possible repercussions, but it’s so crucial in situations like this. The community events in his memory show how much Anthony was loved and how desperately everyone wants justice for him. I wish there was more support for those who might have information—maybe a safer way for witnesses to share what they know. It's a tough situation, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who are enduring this uncertainty. Let’s hope that someone out there has the courage and opportunity to help bring some answers soon.

I’ve been following Anthony T. Moton’s case, and I keep coming back to the fact that it was the first homicide in Peoria for 2016. It seems like such a significant and tragic way to start the year. Sometimes, these early-in-the-year cases get a lot of attention initially but then lose the spotlight over time. I wonder if that might be happening here? It's hard to grasp how such a kind individual could experience such a violent end, and even harder to watch the case stall after such a determined start. It's clear that the community and authorities want to keep his memory alive and solve this case, but progress seems to be painfully slow. I can't imagine how his family feels, knowing there hasn't been closure or justice. I’m hopeful that someday soon, someone will come forward with a critical piece of information. Sometimes all it takes is one brave soul speaking up. Keep spreading awareness, Peoria. Justice for Anthony is still possible.
