I’ve been following Devon Caffie’s case and have been thinking about the role surveillance footage played in tracking down Sharlow. It fascinates me how it can be both a silent witness to such a violent act and a crucial piece in pursuing justice. How did we ever solve cases before this technology? But what’s really sticking with me is the idea of justice not just for Devon, but for his family and community. I can’t imagine what they’re going through, knowing one piece of evidence could potentially bring some semblance of closure. The resilience and strength they show in the face of such a tragedy is truly admirable. Anyone else have thoughts on how this tech might influence how justice is served, or how it impacts families waiting for answers??⚖️
