I keep thinking about how Armondo Reyes’ family must have felt that night. Going from a simple grocery trip to an unimaginable nightmare. I know the focus is often on catching the perpetrators, but I can't stop thinking about the lasting impact on his loved ones, especially his kid. The psychological scars of seeing their father shot down like that... it's something no child should ever have to endure. It's crucial that we continue discussing the resources available for families impacted by such violence, not just for justice, but for healing as well. Hoping the community can rally around them and offer support during such an incredibly difficult time.
It’s incredibly upsetting to think about how Armondo Reyes’ life ended so abruptly and violently. I’ve been following this case closely, and one detail that keeps sticking with me is the private surveillance footage that helped solve it. It’s amazing how a small piece of tech, just positioned correctly on someone’s property, can change everything. It makes me wonder how many other cases might go unanswered if not for those lucky breaks. This time, it provided that crucial lead to capture Gurrola, three whole years after Armondo’s murder. Thinking of Armondo’s family, it's hard to imagine what those years must have been like for them, waiting for answers and justice. My heart goes out to his wife and child, and I hope they’ve found some peace knowing that steps are being taken towards justice.
