Hello everyone, I've been following the Angela Dufrene case for a while, and something that's been bothering me is the timeline of events. How could a child be missing for eight months before anyone noticed? The DCF was involved with the family already, which makes it even more baffling. Was there a serious breakdown in communication between agencies, or was Marjorie just that good at concealing Angela's absence from everyone around her? It's troubling to think a child can just vanish like this, and yet it seems like every possible safety net failed her. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect? Would love to hear from others who might understand how these systems are supposed to work.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following Angela Dufrene’s case for a while now, and something that's been bothering me is how an entire department like the Florida Department of Children and Families could lose track of a child under their supervision. I know it's not uncommon to hear about failures in the system, but eight months is a shockingly long time for a child to go unaccounted for, especially considering the family’s history. I mean, how did no one notice Angela's absence earlier? It makes me wonder about the checks and balances in place, or rather the lack thereof. Could it be due to overworked case workers or insufficient communication between agencies? It’s such a frustrating aspect of this case. What do you all think about the role DCF played (or didn’t play) here? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon Angela Dufrene's case and I've got to say, the role of the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) in all this is just mind-boggling to me. How did a toddler go missing for EIGHT MONTHS without DCF noticing? I get that they have a lot of cases to manage, but when a family is under their supervision due to "prior abuse incidents," it seems like you'd keep a closer eye. From what I've read, there wasn’t a single welfare check or visit that might have flagged Angela's absence during that time? It just doesn't add up. It really makes you wonder about the system's accountability and how many other children might be slipping through the cracks. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Stay safe, everyone.
