Has anyone else been following the case of Jasmine Chacon-Chavez and Frankie Baez? I came across some discussions about the neighborhood where the shooting took place, and it’s got me thinking. The Chicago Lawn area has seen its fair share of violence, but this attack seems particularly brazen. It happened right on the sidewalk in a residential spot, which makes it even more terrifying to think that someone could just open fire like that. ? What I keep wondering is whether this was a targeted attack or something more random. It’s hard to fathom why they would be attacked so viciously. The lack of arrests is frustrating, and I can only imagine the pain her family must be going through without answers. Does anyone know if there have been similar incidents in the area lately that could shed light on a pattern? It feels like a piece of the puzzle is missing. Hoping for more progress soon, for Jasmine and Frankie’s families’ sake.

I’ve been following Jasmine Chacon-Chavez’s case closely, and something that really strikes me is the timing and location of the attack. The fact that it happened so close to the holidays, when families are usually coming together to celebrate, adds another layer of tragedy. It must be incredibly tough for Jasmine’s family to navigate this time of year now. I keep thinking about how they’ve had to face the anniversary of her death and the holidays without her since 2017. To have lost someone so vibrant, just after she turned 21 and was starting a new chapter in her life, is unimaginable. I hope the community and law enforcement continue to push for answers. Jasmine, Frankie, and their families deserve justice and closure. My thoughts are with them as they continue to cope with this immense loss.
