In the early morning hours of January 16, 2020, the body of 17-year-old Josh Couser, a Black male, was discovered in a ditch on Ashley 16 in Crossett, Arkansas. A passerby found the young man around 8 a.m., and it was determined that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Ashley County Sheriff's Office immediately launched an investigation into the apparent homicide, a discovery that would soon lead to multiple arrests and leave the community seeking answers.
