I'm so deeply saddened to see another young life lost to violence in Maywood. Mikhail Evans was just 20 years old, with his whole future ahead of him. What gets me every time is hearing from those who knew him—friends and family who describe him as such a caring and joyful person. It's hard to wrap my head around how someone could think to inflict such pain on another family. The drive-by happened in broad daylight, but still no suspects? It makes me wonder what kind of leads the authorities have, if any. I hope the community comes together to support Mikhail’s family not only through the fundraiser but also by sharing any information they might have. His family deserves answers. RIP Mikhail.
