Was anyone else struck by the tragic irony of where Joseph's life was taken? It haunts me that he was killed in a place bookended by a church and a funeral home. It's like a silent commentary on the cycle of violence that overshadows communities like this. I keep wondering about the people who might have been nearby—customers at Barney’s Pizza or folks walking down Waller Avenue. Did they hear anything? See anything? It must be so hard for his family to endure the wait for answers. This corner of North Waller has stories to tell; I hope they surface soon for Joseph’s sake.
