So I have found many of the answers I was looking for on the DIllon Scott case, Ive been able to obtain police reports, several witness statements and am able to give a definate timeline of actions. As far as social media goes, Dillon went silent prior to going missing. He had just purchased a trailer of his own, and had filed for divorce about a month and a half before he went missing. The description of what he was wearing that night has been wrong this last decade. I have talked to several people who saw him the night of Feb 27th into the wee morning hours of feb 28th before he actually went missing. The title that was found in his hoodie pocket was not the title to the trailer but infact the title to the cadillac. Dillon did not drive, he did not have a drivers license and saw poorly at night. Dillon was also extremely close to his mother and would not have gone this long without reaching out. The sheriffs department did their job, they talked to the last two people to see Dillon alive, and since Dillon had a short rap sheet, he was deemed as running from the law. It has since turned to missing with suspicious circumstances. I was contacted by a family member to do a deep dive into this case and see what i could find. In the course of those few months I have been able to unscramble alot of misinformation, clear up some down right mistakes and have completed an entire case file to be presented to the sheriffs department shortly. After going over everything that I have been able to access, I have come to the conclusion that Dillon did not leave willingly, and he is no longer with us and has not been since the wee hours of feb 28th. I can not take all the credit though, Dillons family never gave up and held onto memories of that night and the days following for a decade. Hoping someone would listen and believe that Dillon didnt run. Then they found me and well the rest remains to be seen. So never give up hope on a missing loved one, it may not be the outcome you desire, but there is always hope for closure. And remember there is no statute of limitations on murder, and not one state in the country is non extraditable. So if you murder someone and think youve gotten away with it, one day the truth will come to light, and justice will be served. And Habeas Corpus does not mean an actual body must be present for conviction. :)

Just realized I did not disclose what Dillon was actually wearing that evening. Dillon was last seen between 1am and 130am at the hummingbird trailer park in depue, he was wearing a plain white t shirt, black track pants with red piping on the outer leg, a matching lightweight hoodie, white air jordans and a steel wedding ring. The items that were found at the "accident" site the next day, were not there when the family and police began their search of the area but were found by a family member as they walked back to the meeting point. The guardrail was not peeled back, there was very minimal damage done to the cadillac, the truck was found in a private property tree line west of depue the morning of the 28th. Dillon only had one previous felony and had been on parole for a short time, he was not aware that there was a minor warrant out for his arrest for a minor parole violation ( most likely not updating address after moving quick enough). Dillon was attempting to start his life over and fresh.

A couple questions. I read that the car had minimal to no damage to front end, and airbag was not deployed correct?
The driver's seat was pushed fully forward, yet Dillon was 6 ft or a bit taller?
The best friend Jimbo ditched his truck in the overgrowth of trees further up the road because he "knew they'd be looking for him"? Why? Why would police assume he was involved ? Besides the affair with breanna.
Where exactly was the truck in correlation of the two man made lakes/ ponds further west up the road?
Were those ponds/ lakes ever searched by sonar or dive team, considering witness accounts of Jimbo stating " he's or it's in the water now, and they'll never see him/ it again"?
There is no record in IDOC of Dillon.
Jimbo, how did he make it back to depue from scene of accident in such short time?
Did police ever take his ( Jimbo's) clothing into evidence for testing?
Why if Breanna and friend stopped at Casey's in Streator to get cigarettes and Breanna slapped Dillon across face, why then did Breanna have to go get cigarettes again while Dillon was out with Jimbo?
Why was Dillons jacket not found night of accident, if it were laying right across street in field?
How did Jimbo end up with Dillons shoes? Were they the actual shoes he was wearing that night? Conflicting reports of fubu high tops and or puma.
Was there damage to Jimbo's truck? If guard railing was "torn off " the brackets.
How were the family member and Breanna able to meet in Kentucky if she was not legally divorced in Illinois and or Dillon had not been legally declared deceased?
How tall is Breanna?
Why would it take 45 mins to go get cigarettes in depue, when it is a very small area and has a gas station?
Did young couple take into consideration the illusion of object size due to distance? In this case if a person is walking up a driveway and is not close enough, height can be confused as shorter due to optic illusion.
Did Dillon have a cell phone?
Did any of them have cell phones? We're records checked, locations pinged to determine if close to location of accident at time. To either coroberate or debunk alibis?
Why did Breanna drive past accident scene, knowing it was her husband's vehicle? ( What trouble was she so afraid of?)
Why was she on that road anyway if she only went out for cigarettes?
Is case still open?
Can people be extradited from Kentucky? Or is that why she and family friend chose that state?
What was to gain from his demise/ disappearance?
Life insurance policy?
Why was wallet missing, but trailer title still in pocket.
Why leave jacket behind in February after minor accident( ruling out shock, due to lack of blood found on scene and damage done to front end of vehicle)
Why were they "chasing each other at 3am at high speeds on a curvy road"
Trucks are not exactly known for great handling at high rates of speed( sharp curves).
Why not answer door when family came looking for answers?
What was there to hide?
Was trailer searched for any trace evidence?
Social medias and any computers, laptops, and or phones forensically searched for erased or hidden data in "special zip files"
There is far more to this story than what the parties involved have revealed.
I remember this happening, and it seemed odd then that they never found him.
Have private investigators been used? ( Non family friends).
Lots of these questions should be brought up to whoever is handling his case in beauru county. Although I do not have much faith in them, if you are hitting dead ends you could contact state police and see if they will investigate and or there are a few groups that do dives into waters to locate missing people and vehicles. They are quite successful in bringing closer to many families, the most recent being in Elgin IL.
I hope the family finds answers and gets closure.
Edit, this is the exact line of questioning i asked on the medium site where his story was posted while i was looking into it this past july. I mean no disrespect to anyone involved.

Some of the questions raised here are the same ones people have discussed for years, and a few stand out because they relate directly to timeline and physical evidence.

For example, the reports about Dillon’s car often say the crash damage was minimal and the airbags did not deploy. If that’s accurate, it raises the question of why he would abandon the vehicle and disappear within such a short time window.

Another detail that people question is the driver’s seat position. If the seat was pushed fully forward and Dillon was over six feet tall, that’s something investigators would normally want to clarify — whether it was moved after the crash or reported incorrectly.

The timeline that night is also important. There are references online to multiple people being out driving around the same roads at roughly the same time. In most investigations, phone records, call logs, and location data would be used to confirm who was where and when.

There are also questions about items reportedly found later, like Dillon’s jacket or shoes. When clothing appears after the initial search, investigators usually look closely at when it was discovered and who located it.

Another point people often mention is the nearby terrain — fields, wooded areas, and water. In missing-person cases, bodies of water near the last known location are typically searched because they can conceal evidence.

Again, none of these questions prove anything by themselves. They’re simply the kinds of things that people notice when trying to understand how someone could disappear so quickly after what appears to have been a relatively minor crash.

The hope is that eventually either new information comes forward or investigators are able to clarify more of the timeline so Dillon’s family can finally get answers. Thanks for talking about this case!

Has anyone noticed the lack of media coverage surrounding Dillon Scott’s case from Depue, Illinois? It’s so frustrating how some disappearances don’t get nearly as much attention, which only makes it harder for families to get the help they need. I really feel for Dillon’s family who's tirelessly pushing for answers. It’d be great if we could brainstorm ways to bring more awareness to his story. Maybe we could start a social media campaign or reach out to local news outlets to share his story? Let me know if anyone is interested in collaborating on this. Every bit of attention could potentially bring us closer to finding out what happened to Dillon.
Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the Dillon Scott case from Depue, Illinois, and something keeps bugging me. Dillon was last seen on February 27, 2016, but I can’t find much on where exactly he was last spotted or who he was with. Does anyone know if there’s more information on who last saw him or if there’s any specific location that was significant in his daily routine? Even a small detail could be a big help in piecing things together. It's so frustrating how little there is to go on. If anyone local or familiar with the area has any insights, even about the community vibe back then, it might spark something useful. Every little bit could help!
Has anyone looked into Dillon Scott's online activities before he disappeared? Sometimes people leave digital traces that can offer some insight. Not saying this is definitely the case here, but maybe there’s a chance he communicated with someone unknown or expressed concerns that could be relevant. With so much of our lives online these days, it might be a worthwhile angle to consider. Does anyone know if his social media or email activity was ever investigated thoroughly by authorities? Wondering if there’s something there that might lead to new information.

There has been 0 activity since he went missing. Bank account untouched, no forwarding address. Nor a single sighting of Dillon in over a decade. Shortly before he went missing there was minimal activity on social media.
