Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about the coordination between the Calumet City Police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force in Desmond Stewart’s case. It’s reassuring that they’ve got a team working together, but I’m curious about protocol when different agencies collaborate on a case like this. How do they share info, and do these partnerships generally speed things up or slow them down in terms of finding new leads?
I can't imagine the anguish of Desmond’s family having to wait for answers. Keeping my fingers crossed that justice is served soon. If anyone has insights into how these joint investigations usually progress, I'd love to hear.
Stay safe, everyone.
I’ve been following Desmond Stewart’s case ever since it happened, and I cannot stop thinking about the devastating impact his death has had on his children. Losing a father under such violent circumstances is incredibly traumatic and leaves a void that can never truly be filled. It’s infuriating that, four years later, there are still no answers or arrests. Desmond was well-regarded by friends and family for being a caring parent, and his children deserve justice for their father. I hope someone in the community who knows anything comes forward. We owe it to his kids to keep talking about this case until it’s solved.
I keep thinking about the date of the shooting. It was May 29th, just a regular Wednesday night, and yet for Desmond, it was his last. It’s haunting to think about how a normal night can take such a tragic turn. Anyone who’s familiar with the Oglesby Avenue area in Calumet City—was there any unusual activity leading up to that night?
I can’t imagine the pain his family must be going through every day since then. His kids will have to navigate life without him, and that’s a void that can never be filled. If anyone here has any ideas or information, even if it seems small, please share. This case needs more eyes on it. It could be a game-changer and bring peace to those left behind. Let’s try to bring justice for Desmond.
