Hey everyone, just wanted to share some thoughts on the role of community support during these dark times. I recently attended the prayer vigil for Charles Riley and Jasean Francis, and it was both incredibly moving and deeply impactful. Seeing so many people come together to honor these young lives really highlighted the strength and resilience of the South Shore community. These boys had their whole lives ahead of them, and it’s important we remember them not just as victims, but as beloved sons, friends, and members of our community. The vigil served as a reminder of the power we hold in supporting one another through grief and tragedy. I truly hope that the solidarity and love shown at gatherings like these motivate us all to work tirelessly towards preventing such senseless acts of violence in the future.
