Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the decision Cody's sister made to call an Uber for him that night. It's just one of those things that should have been a safe decision. No one could have imagined something so devastating happening when she was just trying to make sure her brother got home safely. It’s gut-wrenching to think about the guilt she must be feeling, even though there’s absolutely nothing she could have done to prevent it. I can’t help but wish there were more support systems in place, not just for the families dealing with such tragedies, but for people in communities where they feel like calling a ride-share late at night is possibly dangerous. My heart goes out to Cody's family in this unbearable time. I hope they find the support and justice they deserve. Stay safe, everyone, and always take care of each other.
