It's incredibly saddening to see the ripple effect of fentanyl-laced pills in our communities. Jerry Leflore’s case is another stark reminder of how dangerous these substances are. The fact that he was already on probation for a drug conviction just adds another layer of tragedy to this. My heart goes out to the family of the young woman who lost her life in such a senseless way. I can't imagine the pain they must be feeling. It's critical that we hold accountable those who distribute these deadly drugs, but we also need to address the root causes that lead individuals like Leflore down these paths. I'm hopeful that the continued investigation into the supply chain might bring about some change and prevent future tragedies. Thoughts and prayers to all affected.
