Hey everyone, I came across the case of Paula Jean Welden recently, and something that really caught my attention is how her disappearance had such a lasting impact on local law enforcement history. It's wild to think that a single case was a catalyst for the formation of the Vermont State Police. Before Paula went missing, there was no statewide police force, which seems unimaginable today. It makes you wonder how many other cases might have benefitted from better organization and resources back then. I guess it shows how a single event can change systems in ways you wouldn't expect. Also, who knew the Bennington Triangle had such an influence on local history?
